You can do better, Mandera students told

By Hussein Ahmed

Students in Mandera County have been urged to aim higher in national examinations following an exemplary performance from a student from the area in last year’s KCSE examinations.

Speaking after presiding over the 2015 Mandera North Sub-county education day, the county’s CEC for Education Mr. Okash Abdullahi said that nothing could stop students in the area from emulating their colleague Ibrahim Abdi Ali, a former student of Shiekh Ali Secondary in the troubled Rhamu town of Mandera North Sub-County who scored 81 points.

The theme of the of the event held at Sheikh Ali High school in Rhamu town over the weekend was “providing quality education through effective service delivery”.

Mandera North Sub-county produced the first student with an A grade in the history of Mandera County in the 2014 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations.
