Wajir County Government introduces Joint Mock Exams for schools in the County

Wajir County CEC, Education Sheikh Abdiwahab hands over joint Mock examinations to a Headteacher.

The County Government of Wajir has today unveiled a joint Mock examination for both primary and secondary schools in the County.

Education CEC Mr. Abdi Osman, Chief officer for Education Abdi Ibrahim Abdi and the Director for Education Hassan Duale flagged off the papers in a ceremony attended by heads of schools from all corners of the County.

In May this year, the County Government held a stake holders’ forum for the Educational sector in Wajir and it was then that the idea of a joint mock examinations for the County was born.

1,870 students from 29 secondary schools and 4,112 students from 117 primary schools are expected to sit for the examination slated to be done between July 8 and August 1 this year.

The exams will be done simultaneously across the County and will be marked in a pool and the results launched by the Governor.
