Suspected members of Al-Shabaab killed one person and injured three others in a close range shooting in Mandera town this evening.

Armed men in a small car shot at a group shoppers in Bula – Mpya a few minutes after 8pm local time.

Confirming the incident, Mandera East deputy County commissioner Elvis Korir said unknown number of gun men believed to be members of terror group Al-Shabaab raided a shop and shot indiscriminately at those in sight.

The attack comes two days after another deadly attack on Governor Roba’s convoy left three people dead and several others injured.
