Police in Garissa intercept consignment of Bhang

bhangPolice officers in Garissa seized a consignment of bhang with a street value of Sh1 million as it was transported along the Garissa – Mandera road.

Speaking to the media, County Police Commander Shadrack Maithya said that they were holding the owner of the consignment which was destined for Nairobi.

Maithya added the bang weighing 50 kilogrammes was neatly wrapped in a white sack and was intercepted in a truck that was transporting goods to the city.

The suspect is currently being held at the Garissa Police station with officials saying he will be arraigned in court for drug trafficking.
