A physics teacher at a local school in Hagadera refugee camp was killed on Wednesday morning after hooded gunmen attacked the compound of Windle Trust, an NGO’s that operates in the Dadaab refugee camps.

Up to 10 gunmen stormed the premises and started shooting indiscriminately after they were confronted by security guards on duty injuring three of them in the process.

The attack comes at a time when such attacks have reduced in the area.

It was not immediately possible to establish motive of the attack although Somali militia Al-Shabaab claimed similar attacks in the past.

Windle Trust supports educational activities in the refugee camps.
