Garissa County MP donates umbrellas to small scale traders

Small scale traders in Garissa town’s Orahey market have a reason to smile after receiving a donation of umbrellas from County MP Shukran Gure.

The donations which came at a time when rains were pounding the region was welcomed by women traders.

Chairman of Orahey women traders Amina Abdi Ga’al said the donation will go a long way in shielding the traders, most of them women from the scorching sun and the current rains.

Orahey market is home to more than 100 women who mostly trade in vegetables and other perishable goods.
