Salah was among those who trekked the 1000km walk from the Tana bridge in Garissa all the way to border point one in Mandera.

The walk was aimed at creating awareness on the region, a mission that has yielded fruits as locals put their differences aside and joined the walkers wherever they reached.

President Uhuru hosted Salah and his colleagues after they successfully completed the walk.
